About the Role
Jarvis Consulting Group is hiring a User Support Technician in Toronto, Ontario. This role involves providing essential technical assistance and support to users within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will give access to computer networks and report on the performance of computer systems. Responsibilities include responding to users experiencing difficulties with computers, consulting user guides and technical manuals to research and implement solutions, and providing advice and training. This role also involves collecting, organizing, and maintaining a problems and solutions log for other technical support analysts, participating in the redesign of applications, and supervising other technical support workers. You will provide business systems, network, and Internet support, set up equipment for employee use, and perform Web-server backup and recovery operations. Customer service and incident management are also key aspects of this position.
Requirements & Skills
Candidates should possess a College/CEGEP education and have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience. The work environment is fast-paced, requires working under pressure with tight deadlines, and may involve repetitive and physically demanding tasks. Attention to detail and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking are necessary. Essential personal suitability traits include client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, initiative, organization, being a team player, ability to multitask, time management, and honesty.

Proficiency in English is required for this position.
