Responsibilities
The Senior Accountant will manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements, and plan, set up, and administer accounting systems. Key duties include ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, procedures, and internal controls, as well as preparing financial information, statements, and reports for individuals, departments, or companies. This role also involves recommending improvements to accounting systems and management practices, developing and maintaining cost findings, reporting, and internal control procedures. The successful candidate will analyse financial documents and reports, examine accounting records, assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits, and conduct variance analysis. Furthermore, the role requires maintaining financial records and establishing, maintaining, and balancing various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and have 3 to less than 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably within the construction industry. Proficiency in accounting software, MS Office, MS Excel, and MS Windows is essential.
