The successful candidate will supervise and co-ordinate the activities of 1 to 2 retail staff members, including sales workers, office, and volunteer staff. Key duties involve assigning sales workers to their tasks, establishing work schedules, and managing cash transactions. This role includes hiring and training staff or arranging for their training. Supervisors are also responsible for selling merchandise, preparing reports on sales volumes and merchandising, and resolving issues such as customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages. Organising and maintaining inventory is also a core responsibility.

Requirements

Candidates should have a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related retail field is required. The area of specialization for this role is retail store supervision.
