This Restaurant Supervisor position is with MCDONALDS in Edmonton, Alberta. The work setting is a fast food outlet or concession and restaurant environment. The work site environment can be noisy, have odours, be wet or damp, and hot. Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will establish methods to meet work schedules and supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food. Duties include training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures. You will estimate required ingredients and supplies for meal preparation, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards. Addressing customers' complaints or concerns, maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and preparing and submitting reports are also part of this role. Additional tasks involve preparing food order summaries for the chef, supervising and checking the assembly of trays, and supervising and checking the delivery of food trolleys. This role involves supervising food service counter attendants and food preparers.

Qualifications and Work Conditions

Applicants must have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience. Required certifications include a Food Safety Certificate and a Safe Food Handling certificate. A criminal record check is necessary for security and safety. The work conditions involve a fast-paced environment, working under pressure with tight deadlines, and physically demanding tasks that include a combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling. Attention to detail is crucial. Personal suitability traits include client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, being a team player, and initiative.
