Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, as well as repairing cracks and holes. You will be responsible for mixing paint to achieve desired colours and textures. Tasks also involve erecting scaffolding and swing stages, attaching rigging, and expertly applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to both interior and exterior surfaces. The position requires experience with equipment such as brush painting, conventional spray painting, multi-ratio pump spraying, patterned rollers, and roller painting. Specialisation in sign painting, paint spraying, wallpaper, and wood veneers is considered an asset.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in painting. The role demands strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye co-ordination, and the ability to distinguish between colours. Physical capabilities required include bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability includes flexibility, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as a team player. English language proficiency is required for this position.
