Good Land Farms Inc. is seeking a General Farm Worker in Parkland, Alberta. This role involves working in an urban area on a diverse agricultural operation that includes beef cattle ranching and farming, feedlots, livestock combination farming, and other crop and poultry farming activities.

Responsibilities

Key tasks include diagnosing and treating livestock health issues, disinfecting pens, barns, or poultry houses, and monitoring animal health and the calving process. Workers will also perform animal grooming, livestock feeding, and mark livestock for ownership. Crop-related duties involve planting, cultivating, and irrigating. The role requires operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment, ensuring farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, maintaining quality control and production records, and performing general farm duties.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. The employer will provide training, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience. Applicants should be quick learners, capable of working independently in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. The role involves repetitive tasks, attention to detail, and requires standing for extended periods, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. Own transportation is required, along with personal steel-toed safety boots and gloves.
