Q Pizza in Victoria, British Columbia, is hiring a Food Counter Attendant. This role is based in an urban area with public transportation readily available. Responsibilities

Key responsibilities involve taking customer orders and serving customers at counters or buffet tables. Attendants will prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, portion and wrap foods, and package take-out orders. Other duties include stocking refrigerators and salad bars, keeping records of food quantities used, and handling cash transactions. Maintaining a clean environment is also crucial, including cleaning and sanitizing kitchen work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, as well as removing kitchen garbage and trash. Providing customer service is an essential part of the role.

Requirements

Candidates should have a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience is required. Experience with an electronic cash register is also necessary for this role. The work environment is fast-paced, physically demanding, and involves repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure with attention to detail. The ability to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs) is required.
