Job Description
The creators of Myth Restaurant are seeking an experienced and innovative Executive Chefs to lead our team. A passion and a love of Greek & Mediterranean Cuisine is a must . The ideal candidate is not only an exceptional chef, but a great teacher and mentor with a strong mindset on growth. They must have a drive that will help take Myth restaurant to the next level and beyond.
The Executive Chef is responsible for all menu development, ensuring culinary offerings are aligned with the concept and brand as well as standard operating procedures that guarantee we are delivering a premium product consistently. They will be expected to build and team and manage in a way that represents the culture we’re trying to foster. The executive Chef will be expected to hit all financial targets, manage food cost and labor. The executive chef will report directly to the General Manager & ownership.
Responsibilities
● Responsible for building entire culinary team
● Responsible for creating and implementing onboarding and training SOP’s
● Executing performance reviews
● Ensuring staff are operating at an expectable standard
● Create a positive work environment where cooks are inspired to learn, grow, and contribute to the success of the team.
● Foster an environment of caring for our guests' experience by way of culinary offerings, connecting their work to the end result.
● Introduce SOPs for receiving products.
● Comprehensive prep lists
● Update recipe books and standardize prep for everyone
● Implement par levels that ensure we have enough stock on hand
● Implement cleaning standards and maintain overall cleanliness of the kitchen and prep areas
● Assist with ordering and SOP’s
● Ensure culinary offerings are being prepared to standard
● Drive menu RND
● Ensure training materials and bibles are updated
● Train cooks to execute dishes properly and consistently
● Create SOPs for execution of events
● Lead manager meeting
● Inventory control
● Ensure COG’s are in line
