About the Role

Sweet Love Childcare Centre Inc. is hiring a Cleaning Supervisor in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. This position offers morning and day shifts.

Responsibilities

The Cleaning Supervisor will hire and train, or arrange for training of, cleaning staff. They will supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers. Responsibilities include inspecting sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met. The supervisor will prepare budget and cost estimates, and may recommend or arrange for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, or replacement of furnishings and equipment. Maintaining financial records and receiving payment for specialized cleaning jobs are also part of the role. Additionally, the supervisor will assist cleaners in performing duties, co-ordinate work activities with other departments, and establish work schedules.

Requirements

Candidates must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate. A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience is required.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, and reliability. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. It is physically demanding, requiring manual dexterity, and involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, including standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
