About the Role

The Ahuja family in Surrey, British Columbia, is seeking a dedicated Child Caregiver to work in their private home. This role offers flexible hours, including morning, day, evening, and weekend shifts, to accommodate various schedules.

Responsibilities

Key duties include supervising and caring for children, bathing, dressing, and feeding infants and children, and tending to their emotional well-being. The caregiver will change diapers, follow parents' lead with toilet training, and discipline children according to parental methods. Other tasks involve maintaining a safe and healthy home environment, organizing activities such as games and outings, preparing and serving nutritious meals, and performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties. The caregiver will also assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, shop for food and household supplies, and travel with the family on trips, assisting with child supervision and housekeeping.

Requirements

Applicants must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate. While experience is considered an asset, it is not a mandatory requirement. Personal suitability traits include client focus, reliability, patience, and honesty.

Language Requirement

Proficiency in English is required for this position.
